The Full Story

Emmanent is an independent energy and emissions advisory born from the legacy of Energy Market Matters Australia Pty Ltd (Emma).

Our name is a deliberate play on eminent—to be known and respected in a particular sphere—reflecting our commitment to trusted, expert guidance across the energy transition.

We exist to help organisations navigate the complexities of:

  • Energy procurement and trading

  • Emissions management and compliance

  • Net zero strategy and decarbonisation

  • Climate-related disclosures (AASB S2, NGERS, NPI)

We bring clarity where there is confusion, confidence where there is complexity, and calm where the waters are rough.

Why a Lighthouse?

Our logo—a lighthouse—is more than a symbol. It’s a statement of intent.

Lighthouses cast light for safe passage. They do not steer the ship, but they help others avoid the rocks. That’s how we see our role in today’s energy and climate challenges: a trusted guide, steady and clear, helping clients find the safest and most strategic route forward.

The metaphor deepens in the context of the energy transition, which—like the churning sea—can be turbulent, opaque, and full of hidden hazards. At times, the sector feels like a phase change, where water and vapour coexist in an unstable, rolling boil of policy shifts, market reforms, and technological leaps.

We help you make sense of that volatility and act with precision.

Electrification, Then and Now

The lighthouse also speaks to the story of energy itself.

From coal-fired flames, to whale oil, to town gas, to electrified beacons, and now to modern hybrid remote area power systems combining solar, wind, and battery—lighthouses are icons of the electrification of everything.
They remind us that energy systems evolve. The question is: how well do we navigate the shift?

At Emmanent, we’re here to help.
